Etoile
Homunculus Maid (one of 41) · Nazarick: General Maids · Homunculus (heteromorphic) · Lv 1
Personality
Like her companions, she finds her greatest joy in serving Ainz; though she gets only one day off in 41, she still feels there isn't enough work. When receiving Ainz's orders she looks as tense as if about to march into battle.
Abilities
- Like the other Homunculus Maids she is only a level-1 Homunculus; though heteromorphic, her chance of winning a fight against a level-1 human is only about 60%
- Her maid outfit is high-grade equipment with defense roughly equal to full mithril plate armor
- She reportedly wears a Ring of Sustenance lent by Ainz (removing the need to eat and sleep); Vol. 10 p. 15 has the phrase "borrowed from Lord Ainz"; whether every Homunculus Maid wears one is unknown
- Her racial penalty is "increased food consumption", so she eats a lot
History
- Her name comes from the French for "star" (étoile), and she was created by Coup De Grâce (the creator of French-named maids, confirmed in The Undead King Oh! chapter 87)
- Appears only in the bonus novel Ainz's Ambition included with The Undead King Oh! Vol. 1; she does not appear in the main novels
- In that story she serves as "Lord Ainz duty maid", standing perfectly still at his side; Ainz tries to push a plan to "give the Homunculus Maids more rest", which is ultimately shelved due to mutual misunderstanding (unverified)
- During her shift Yuri temporarily covers for her; other sources say that after Ainz announced a three-day holiday, she and the other staff were called back to the 9th Floor by Albedo (unverified)
Trivia
She is a rare named Homunculus Maid who appears only in a spin-off bonus novel and never in the main story.
