Downfall of Castle and Country
A qipao-type World Item left by the Six Great Gods and now held by the Slane Theocracy; it can mind-control even targets with complete mental immunity.
- Appearance: a qipao of silver-white cloth embroidered in gold thread with an ascending dragon; in the anime the dragon pattern glows on activation
- It can mind-control even undead immune to mental manipulation like Shalltear, but cannot charm without limit (Vol. 10)
- In Vol. 3 the old woman Kaire wore it and sortied under Black Scripture escort, intending to dominate the Catastrophe Dragon Lord, but ended up brainwashing Shalltear
- Kaire was gravely wounded by Shalltear's Purifying Javelin in the fight and confirmed dead in Vol. 10; its current holder is unknown
- As of the main story, the only World Item confirmed in the New World (others are found in the side story The Vampire Princess of the Lost Country)
- Its name appears only in kana on page 297 of Vol. 1; one of the Six Great Gods' legacies, originally held by them
Notes
"Kei Seke Kouku" is thought to be a corrupted reading of "keisei keikoku" (downfall of castle and country); the author said he deliberately gave it an obscure reading so the name would not give away its effect.
