Rubedo
Nazarick's strongest individual NPC · Nazarick: Area Guardians & Other NPCs · Not disclosed (Chinese fan circles have a golem theory, unverified) · Lv Unknown
Personality
Almost nothing is described in the books; neither her appearance nor her personality has been revealed. All that is known is that she was created in a completely different way from her two elder sisters, and that her activation test has already succeeded.
Abilities
- In pure hand-to-hand combat she surpasses Albedo, Cocytus, and Sebas
- Her overall strength exceeds that of Touch Me, the guild's strongest member (from the author's Twitter, July 23, 2015, not the main text)
- Even a fully equipped Ainz probably could not beat her
- Ainz believes only "those" on the 8th Floor combined with a World Item could defeat her
History
- Created by Tabula Smaragdina by a special method different from that used for her two elder sisters
- Vol. 3: Her eldest sister Nigredo expresses loathing for her, calling her "Spinel", while her second sister Albedo defends her, saying "she's a lovely child"
- Vol. 7: Albedo obtains Ainz's permission to deploy her and assigns her to the secret unit searching for the Supreme Forty-One
- As of the latest volume she still has not formally appeared
Trivia
Her name comes from the alchemical "rubedo" (reddening), corresponding to Nigredo (blackening) and Albedo (whitening), so fans speculate she wears red. The author once half-jokingly said on Twitter that she might not appear before the series ends.
