Tabula Smaragdina
The Great Alchemist, Nazarick's gimmick designer · Ainz Ooal Gown Guild (Supreme Beings) · Brain Eater · Lv Unknown
Personality
Serious and extremely obsessive about details; the gimmicks he designed were so complex they strained the guild's data capacity and drew complaints from other members. He loved horror films, TRPGs and mythological lore, was a fan of "gap moe", and often filled Momonga's head with mythological trivia.
Abilities
- In raw magic firepower alone he surpassed Momonga
- Responsible for about 20% of Nazarick's gimmicks, including the entrance to the Treasury
- Created the three sisters Nigredo, Albedo and Rubedo, named after the three stages of alchemy
- Rubedo, whom he made, is said to be beyond even a fully armed Ainz
History
- Game era: Took part in the conquest of Nazarick as an early guild member
- Designed a great many gimmicks and created the three sisters, of whom Albedo was set as Overseer of the Floor Guardians
- Vol. 1: Before the shutdown Momonga rewrote the settings he had written for Albedo, and afterwards blamed himself for "defiling Tabula-san's NPC"
- Vol. 3: Pandora's Actor takes his form at his first appearance
- Vol. 7: Rubedo is assigned to the unit under Albedo's command
Trivia
His name is generally thought to come from the alchemical legend of the Emerald Tablet (Tabula Smaragdina; marked as reader analysis); in the Web novel he also created CZ.
