Yuri Alpha
Eldest sister and vice-leader of the Pleiades (big sister of the Battle Maids) · Nazarick: Pleiades · Dullahan (Undead) · Lv 51
Personality
Earnest and upright, with karma of +150 ("good"), she is one of the very few sisters who are relatively safe for humans. She usually talks like a schoolteacher, but in private occasionally refers to herself as "boku" and hurriedly corrects herself. She gets on well with Aura and Pestonya but is terrified of Shalltear.
Abilities
- Specialises in single-target unarmed close combat (Striker, Single Blow), fighting with spiked gauntlets; she inherited her creator Yamaiko's "hit first, think later" style
- Her striking power is enough to shatter Evileye's imperfect "Crystal Shield" in one blow
- Can use Hakkei and Ki Blast Palm and heal with "ki"; "Ki Detection" appears only in the Web novel
- As an undead she has innate complete resistance to negative energy; Evileye judged that "her resistances have no gaps at all"
- Usually wears lensless black-framed fake glasses; she also has a pair of glasses with lenses that can see through invisibility
History
- Vol. 1: Follows Ainz into the Throne Room; after the transfer she is ordered to guard the 9th Floor
- Vol. 6: Wearing a mask, she poses as one of Jaldabaoth's maid subordinates and works with CZ to hold Evileye down
- Vol. 7: On the surface of the Great Tomb she commands Nazarick Old Guards to wipe out the invading workers
- Vol. 9: With Lupusregina and others, receives the Baharuth Empire's delegation at Nazarick's gate
- [Bonus novel The Day of the Pleiades (film bonus, non-canon)] Proposes building an orphanage; Ainz promises full support and has her name Nigredo and Pestonya as helpers
Trivia
In the books her glasses actually have no lenses, but in the anime the lenses catch the light and gleam.
