Calca Bessarez

Holy Queen of the Roble Holy Kingdom, "the Pure Holy Queen", "Treasure of Roble" · Roble Holy Kingdom · Human · Lv Unknown
Personality
Kind and honest, she sincerely wishes for her people's happiness, is even willing to accept trustworthy demi-humans, and does not judge Ainz with prejudice. As a monarch, however, she is too pure and too eager to please everyone, unwilling to use hard-line or dirty methods, and so cannot control the southern nobles. In private she is single-mindedly determined to find a husband who truly loves her, and is all but obsessed with beauty care to that end.
Abilities
- A prodigious divine magic caster who could use 4th-tier magic at 15, with magical power among the greatest of all the Holy Kings
- Can summon the 4th-tier angel "Principality Peace", use Holy Ray, and enhance spells with Twin Magic and Penetrate Magic Resistance
- Her crown is the focus item for the grand ritual spell Last Holy War
- Created many divine spells for beauty and skincare, which were lost with her death
History
- Overcoming her disadvantage in the line of succession through her beauty and magical talent, she took the throne with the backing of the previous Holy King and the temples, and ruled for nearly ten years without major misrule (background, Vol. 12)
- When Jaldabaoth invades with his army she leads her guards, Remedios's 25 elite paladins, Kelart's elite priests and high-ranking adventurers to the square where he appeared; she first talks with him to gather information, then supports Remedios's charge with angels and magic (Vol. 12)
- After Jaldabaoth reveals his true form, during the retreat a demon appearing via Greater Teleportation seizes her by both legs and swings her as a bludgeon, smashing her face into the ground, crushing her nose and breaking her front teeth (Vol. 12)
- She then goes missing and the Liberation Army judges her dead (Remedios denies it); later Jaldabaoth appears with her rotting lower half and hurls it at the charging Remedios, scattering the remains (Vol. 12)
- Her remains cannot be preserved for a state funeral and are cremated on the spot by the Liberation Army, while her upper half remains missing; the Holy Throne passes to her elder brother Caspond (actually a doppelgänger double) (Vols. 12-13)
Trivia
Because she was swung as a weapon, readers nicknamed her the "Holy Club", and the author himself calls her a "bludgeoning weapon".
