Guu
The "Giant of the East" of the Great Forest of Tob · Other Factions · Demi-human (troll, War Troll) · Lv Unknown (Ainz and Aura judged him on par with Hamsuke, Vol. 8; the "about level 30" claim is unverified)
Personality
Hot-blooded and belligerent, dim and shortsighted, with strong pride; his kind's custom holds that those with short names are strong, so he scorned Ainz Ooal Gown, with his long name, as a coward. Another account calls him cruel (unverified).
Abilities
- War Troll: a special combat-specialized variant
- Trolls' racial regeneration (cannot regenerate fire or acid damage)
- Wields a magic greatsword nearly 3 m long (8-385) whose central groove constantly oozes a poison that lowers the opponent's strength (8-213, 8-381); "can change size" (unverified)
History
- The "Giant of the East" who rules the eastern Great Forest of Tob, ranked alongside the Demon Snake of the West, Lyuraryus, and the Wise King of the Forest in the south
- Vol. 8: After the Wise King of the Forest vanished and the "Building of Ruin" appeared, he joined Lyuraryus in forcibly conscripting the forest's inhabitants
- When Ainz appeared he arrogantly challenged him, was judged worthless, and was killed
- Later, monsters apparently from the Giant of the East's side attacked Carne Village, and his magic greatsword ended up with Jugem; other sources say Ainz revived him as undead to join the attack (to test the village) and he was cut down by Jugem (unverified)
Trivia
Only after meeting Go Gin, the Martial King and a fellow War Troll, in Vol. 10 did Ainz drop the prejudice against trolls he had formed because of Guu (unverified).
