Troll / Ogre

Two large demi-human species: trolls have astonishing regeneration; ogres are about 3 m tall, strong but extremely unintelligent.
- Trolls: long noses and ears, 2.5–3 m tall, stronger than ogres, able to regenerate even from chunks of flesh; keen sense of smell; weak to fire and acid, which block regeneration.
- Usually only gold-rank adventurers can barely handle them; highly adaptable, with subspecies such as war trolls, volcano trolls, cave trolls, sea trolls, and mountain trolls.
- There is a troll nation in the center of the continent, where the finest delicacy for guests is said to be a six-month-old human fetus.
- Go Gin, the Martial King of the Imperial Arena, is a war troll.
- Ogres: hairless and ape-like, using tree trunks as clubs; omnivorous by nature, humans are just the easiest to catch; outside their own tribe they coexist only with goblin tribes that provide them food.
- Higher forms include ogre mages, earth-spirit ogres (Puri Un), and water-spirit ogres (Va Un, able to turn to mist and negate ranged attacks 7 times).
- Troll subspecies (8-382): war trolls (awakened as warriors, naturally able to use swords), volcano trolls (fire resistant), cave trolls, sea trolls (good swimmers, able to breathe underwater), bridge trolls (a rare species living under bridges), mountain trolls (bigger and stronger)
- In YGGDRASIL one cannot gain complete resistance to every regeneration-blocking attack; war trolls were a race Ainz first saw in the New World, and the Giant of the East "Gu" is one (8-382)
- Ogre relatives: water-spirit ogres have pale blue-white skin and horns on their foreheads, and can turn to mist to negate ranged attacks 7 times (12-380)
