Avarice and Generosity

A black-and-white pair of gauntlet World Items held by Mare, able to store and spend experience points.
- The right-hand "Generosity" is smooth silver like an angel's hand; the left-hand "Avarice" is a jet-black demonic gauntlet with spikes and claws, red light leaking from its cracks
- "Avarice" absorbs and stores the experience the wearer would have gained; "Generosity" spends the stored experience when needed
- When absorbing, a blue orb of light smaller than a fist appears from the corpse and flies to the gauntlet
- After the Shalltear incident in Vol. 3, Ainz took it from the Treasury and gave it to Mare to counter New World World Items
- It can pay for spells and items that consume experience (such as [Wish Upon a Star]), and is key to Ainz's plan to collect experience
- Source: Vol. 3 (3-315); taken from the Treasury together with Depiction of Nature and Society, Hygieia's Chalice, Billion Blades, and others to counter New World World Items (3-289)
Notes
In the Web novel it proved that New World inhabitants also yield experience, and it was used to briefly rejuvenate a member of an evil-god cult, exhausting the experience stored up in the game era; the massacre in the light novels was Ainz's experiment on "gaining experience himself" and did not use this item.
