Evil Deities
About 200 years ago, demon-lord-like beings called "Evil Deities" (魔神) ravaged the world and nearly destroyed it, but were ultimately defeated or sealed by the Thirteen Heroes.
- They are thought to be subordinate gods (NPCs or monsters) that ran out of control after the Six Great Gods died; the Web novel states outright that they are fallen subordinate gods
- The Evil Deities took the dwarf royal capital; the royal family died out except for the Rune Craftsman King, and the dwarf nation has declined ever since
- Some Evil Deities reportedly used 7th-tier magic; the Slane Theocracy's highest angel, the "Dominion Authority," once defeated one Evil Deity
- Among them was the insect-controlling "Insect Evil Deity," in whose defeat Evileye played a major part
- (Web novel) It is said the Thirteen Heroes called down a goddess from the heavenly realm and destroyed the Evil Deities with her power (unverified) (another account says sealed); the scars of those battles remain in some places today
- After the Evil Deities' upheaval, the Kingdom, the Empire (originally one nation), the Holy Kingdom and the Council State were founded one after another
- The Slane Theocracy's stance on the Evil Deities is unknown; only that its highest angel destroyed an Evil Deity has been passed down
- Web novel: Evil Deities are subordinate gods of the Six Great Gods who fell to the surface and spread evil; strangely, none of Surshana's subordinate gods (originally of the evil-god line) became Evil Deities — they all came from other gods' subordinates
- Some Evil Deities are said to have used 7th-tier magic; in strength they rank below the Kingdom Destroyer and above the Thirteen Heroes (varying)
