Gargantua / Golems

Golems are magical constructs that act on their master's orders; Gargantua is a strategic-class siege golem over 30 m tall that serves as the 4th floor's Guardian.
- Golems (constructs) need no food or sleep and are immune to instant death, mental attacks, and critical hits; in YGGDRASIL their strength depends on the metal's value, the maker's skill, and data crystals.
- In the New World golem-making technology is not established; even the weakest wood golem takes several high-tier mages a year, so they are expensive and rare.
- Gargantua: a strategic-class siege golem that genuinely exists within YGGDRASIL's rules; with nowhere to put it, it was sunk into the underground lake of the 4th floor and given Guardian status.
- Luci★fer made the seventy-two pillar demon golems of the "Lesser Key of Solomon (Lemegeton)" from ultra-rare metals, but got bored after making 67.
- Avatara: golems modeled on the Forty-One Supreme Beings' appearances, wearing their equipment in the Treasury's mausoleum.
- The Sorcerer Kingdom has stone golems working day and night in Carne Village; stone golems also guard the entrance of the Imperial Ministry of Magic.
- Nazarick golem examples: a rare-metal golem used to open doors in the library (8-299), lion golems in the bathhouse that speak in Luci★fer's voice and attack rule-breakers (8-424), earth golems in the 6th floor's amphitheater (1-084)
- In the Web novel, the "Silver Golem Cockroach" Kyouhukou rides is made of ultra-rare metal plated with star silver, with level-70 strength (Web "Ball-1")
- One account: Gargantua has a red "core" (?) (4-335); the author said in an Arcadia comment reply that it has not been oddly modified (related to speculation about the Caloric Stone's use)
