Human Species

The umbrella term for humans, elves, dwarves, and the like; with no racial levels, they can reach level 100 in classes alone.
- No racial levels, so all 100 levels can be assigned to classes.
- YGGDRASIL's conventional wisdom: to make a strong character, don't raise racial levels at all; learning more skills through class levels is more useful than the high stats a race gives.
- Human species and demi-humans have lifespans.
- Human species can have children with one another, but not with demi-humans.
- In the New World, humans have weak physical abilities and are often regarded across the world as an "inferior race".
- Human subgroups in the side story The Vampire Princess of the Lost Country: rainbow-eyed people (seven-colored pupils, mostly slender, skilled at enhancing the four major magic systems; over 90% of Inveria's citizens), horned people (a single crystal-like horn on the forehead), and four-eyed people (details unknown)
- Known human species also include half-elves (e.g. Imina, the Extra Seat) and hill dwarves, which appear only in Web settings and not in the books
