Quagoa Invasion
Vol. 11 (Year 2 after the transfer): the Quagoa army united by clan king Pe Riyuro attacked Feo Jera, the Dwarf Kingdom's last city, and withdrew due to Ainz's intervention.
- The Quagoa were originally eight independent clans; unified by the once-in-an-age hero Pe Riyuro, they built a proper political system with the dwarves' old capital Feo Berkana as their base
- About three years earlier, Quagoa began appearing near Feo Raizo; its residents fled to Feo Jera and the city was temporarily abandoned
- To destroy the dwarves, each clan contributed 2,000 elite troops, 16,000 in all; the vanguard, tasked with taking the fortress, was led by the clever red Quagoa Yozu
- West of Feo Jera lies the "Great Rift", over 60 km long and at least 120 m wide at its narrowest, as a natural barrier; the only crossing is a drawbridge, whose bridgehead fortress was equipped with lightning-casting magic items specifically to counter the lightning-averse Quagoa; this time Pe Riyuro had his men find a route bypassing the bridge (details of breaching the bridgehead fortress unverified)
- That day Ainz's party reached Feo Jera's surface fortress overland, negotiated with the dwarves, and sent Death Knights to repel the Quagoa, who mistook the Death Knights for dwarven golems
- Yozu assessed the situation, retreated at once, and personally stood at the front to stop the pursuit
- Afterward, at the regency council, Ainz agreed to retake the old capital for the dwarves in exchange for all the rune smiths relocating to the Sorcerer Kingdom
Notes
Ainz's party learned of the Dwarf Kingdom's situation only because they happened upon the dwarf Gondo Firebeard, who had come to mine white iron steel in abandoned Feo Raizo.
