2nd Tier
The common goal of ordinary magic casters; under the seven-levels-per-tier theory it corresponds to levels 8–14.
- Signature spells: 〈Acid Arrow〉, 〈Invisibility〉, 〈Shockwave〉 (can dent full plate armor), 〈Middle Cure Wounds〉 (damages undead)
- 〈Silence〉 is originally a priests' stealth spell; Schoen uses a version adapted for arcane casters
- Buffs like 〈Lesser Strength〉 and 〈Lesser Dexterity〉; the everyday spell 〈Temperature Change〉
- Nfirea is a 2nd-tier arcane caster who can use 〈Acid Arrow〉 and 〈Hypnotism〉
- Another account: only about one in five to ten thousand people has this much talent (unverified)
- 〈Cure Disease〉: in the New World it cures most diseases almost instantly, but cannot cure diseases accompanied by curses (such as "demon fever") (Web novel, side story)
- 〈Hawk's Eye〉 and 〈Elephant's Ears〉 enhance sight and hearing; 〈Negative Protection〉; 〈Summon Angel 2nd〉 summons a guardian angel
- The tier of 〈Invisibility〉 was long unknown until episode 2 of Pure Pure Pleiades IV confirmed it as 2nd tier; carried items become invisible too, and the effect ends when they leave the body
- The detection spell that can see through 〈Eye of God〉 is around the 2nd tier (Vol. 15)
