Time Stop
A 10th-tier spell that stops time; damaging spells cannot be cast while time is stopped.
- Combined with 〈Delay Magic〉 it can launch an attack the moment time resumes
- Some non-damaging spells can be used during the time stop
- Web novel setting: one must prepare countermeasures against time magic by around level 70
- In Vol. 9 Ainz killed Gazef with Time Stop plus an instant-death spell
- In Vol. 16 Decem was immune to Ainz's 〈Time Stop〉
- Damaging spells cannot be cast while time is stopped, but 〈Delay Magic〉 can set them to trigger the moment it ends (Vol. 9); the area that can be stopped is unknown
- 10th tier; related single-target spells include 〈Temporal Stasis〉 (9th tier, completely freezing the target's actions but unable to damage it meanwhile) and 〈Time Accelerator〉 (Vol. 6)
