- In truth a transported player; 600 years ago he descended with five others, saved humanity from the brink of extinction, and laid the foundations of the Slane Theocracy
- After the other five gods died one after another he remained as the last; according to oral tradition he was killed by the Eight Greed Kings, who were transported 500 years ago (10-239; in the Web novel's folklore he was "banished by those who committed a great sin")
- In the books his appearance also seems to resemble Ainz's

In Vol. 14 Azuth enraged the Black Scripture by asking "Is it Rufus, or Mr. Rufus — is he doing well?"; the name of Surshana's "first attendant" is unknown, and sources suggest it may be this person.
