Vol. 14 (Years 3–5 after the transfer): as the Sorcerer Kingdom's army approached the capital, Prince Zanac, who held real power, deployed about 400,000 Kingdom troops on a plain half a day from the capital; after Zanac was killed by traitors, Cocytus and Mare annihilated the Kingdom's army in about an hour.

The Sorcerer Kingdom declared war over the attack on its food convoy, with fighting starting a month later; a month after that, word came from E-Naeurl that the Sorcerer Kingdom's army was heading west toward the capital, throwing it into panic, and about 5% of residents fled west
The royal family conscripted soldiers from the capital's residents; King Ramposa III had hoped to settle things by negotiation, but was confined by Zanac, who thought negotiation hopeless
The Kingdom's army, including nearby nobles' troops and imprisoned criminals, numbered about 400,000 and deployed on a plain about half a day from the capital
On the day the armies faced off, Ainz and Zanac held talks; after returning to camp, Zanac was killed by traitors who defected to Ainz, and the traitors and their families were sent to Neuronist
About an hour later, under attack by commander Cocytus and his second Mare, the Kingdom's army was wiped out
A few days later the Sorcerer Kingdom's army deployed before the capital, Ramposa III regained his freedom, and the battle for the capital began

Notes

Sources say that in his pre-battle talks with the Sorcerer King, Zanac came to understand what Ainz wanted and what kind of person he was, and also realized he himself was not suited to be king (unverified).
