Beastman Invasion

ビーストマンの竜王国侵攻 · World & History · Battles & Events

A long-running war between the Dragonkin Kingdom and the neighboring beastman nation, clearly intensified by Vol. 9 and still unresolved as of Vol. 15 (Years 3–5 after the transfer).

The Dragonkin Kingdom is ruled by Queen Draudillon Oriculus, great-granddaughter of the Brightness Dragon Lord; the beastman nation raids the Dragonkin Kingdom every year
The Dragonkin Kingdom has traditionally spent heavily each year on defense against the beastmen and paid the Slane Theocracy substantial tribute in exchange for troops (formerly the Sunlight Scripture)
In recent years the beastmen launched a large-scale offensive and have already taken three cities; currently mainly Cerabrate of the adamantite-rank team "Crystal Tear" and others drive them back, but the gap in numbers is huge and they cannot stop the invaders
By Vol. 9 the invasion had intensified further, with Cerabrate leading the adventurer forces in hard fighting; the Queen considered asking the Baharuth Empire for help should the Theocracy abandon her
The Theocracy asked retired Black Scripture members to replace the Sunlight Scripture in helping the Dragonkin Kingdom
The worker team "Blazing Crimson" is also one of the main defenders, but the cash-strapped Dragonkin Kingdom can barely afford to keep paying them (unverified)
Vol. 15: the Theocracy received word that the Dragonkin Kingdom bought extremely powerful undead from the Sorcerer Kingdom; the Theocracy is considering sending adventurers it took in from the Kingdom to fight for the Dragonkin Kingdom

Notes

Sources note that Vol. 14 features a diplomatic letter bearing the Dragonkin Kingdom's seal, showing it had not yet fallen at that time.
