Brain's Katana

神刀 · Magic Items · New World Items

A katana Brain obtained in a southern desert city; even without enchantment it is sharper than shoddy magic weapons.

• Astonishingly valuable (Vol. 3); the name "Divine Katana" comes from the Web novel
• Even combining [Field], [God Flash], and [Fourfold Light Slash], Brain only shaved off a sliver of Shalltear's fingernail, earning the mocking name secret sword [Nail Clipper]
• He also wears an eye necklace (blindness resistance, darkvision, etc.; command word "activate"), a ring of magic infusion, and chain mail
• In the Web novel Shalltear appraised it with [Greater Item Appraisal]: holy element, low-level magic effect, slashing +20% against physical barriers, physical damage +5% and temporary effects +10%, 30% damage to incorporeal targets, critical rate +5%—rated "meh" (Web "True Vampire-3")
• The manga calls it "a famed sword rivaling magic weapons"; sources hold that in the books it is not enchanted

Notes

The name "Divine Katana" is taken from the Web novel; the books only say it is a katana Brain got in a southern desert city (3-081), and sources speculate it came from the Eight Greed Kings' Eryuentiu.
