Duel of Kings
Vol. 16 (Years 3–5 after the transfer): slipping into the Elf Kingdom's royal castle with the twins, Ainz encountered Elf King Decem Hougan, fought him and his Behemoth, and won; the fleeing Elf King was then killed by the Extra Seat.
- While the Slane Theocracy attacked the Elf Kingdom's capital, Ainz slipped into the royal castle with Aura and Mare
- Decem mistook the twins for his grandchildren and tried to lay hands on them (the claim that he declared he would breed with Aura is unverified); the invisible Ainz, enraged, suddenly appeared and punched him in the face, and the fight began
- Decem is a summoner specializing in summoning, and called forth "Behemoth", a level-87 Primal Earth Elemental (the claim that he used a ring inherited from his father is marked "citation needed" on the Japanese wiki, unverified); such an elemental cannot be summoned by ordinary means and is higher level than the summoner himself
- Ainz estimated Decem at about level 70–80, with HP at least equivalent to level 70, and judged he himself had no chance in melee without magic; neither Ainz's [Time Stop] nor Aura's [Shadow-Stitching Arrow] worked on Decem
- Decem fell into a trap Ainz set and lost, fleeing back to his room intending to cross the Great Sea of Trees, but was easily stomped to death by the Extra Seat lying in wait there; for what followed, see the "Assassination of Elf King Decem" entry
Notes
Decem once said of Behemoth: "Probably only my father could beat it."
