Wild Magic

Magic that existed in this world before the Eight Greed Kings warped it 500 years ago; today probably only the Dragon Lords who survived that era can use it.
- Also called ancient magic, soul magic, primordial magic and so on, with grades such as lower and middle
- It is fueled by souls: each use by the Platinum Dragon Lord's armor consumes the stamina infused in it, and Draudillon must offer up the souls of many of her people
- The Slane Theocracy uses the ability to wield Wild Magic as the criterion for a "true Dragon Lord"
- It is judged differently from tier magic: the author says dragon treasures made with it "cannot be given YGGDRASIL stats"
- Nullifying Wild Magic requires holding a World Item or being able to use Wild Magic oneself
- Side story The Vampire Princess of the Lost Country: Dragon Lords who can use Wild Magic normally cannot use tier magic, but becoming undead lets them escape this rule
- Known spells: the Platinum Dragon Lord's 〈World-Isolating Barrier〉, 〈World Teleportation〉 and 〈Cloak of Light〉, and Cure Elim's 〈Soulbreaker Breath〉
- World-Warping Wall (side story): a barrier that blocks teleportation, though teleporting inside it is possible and entering or leaving on foot is free; Cure Elim's 〈Soulbreaker Breath〉 has an annihilation effect equal to "Longinus," but can be used only 3 times, the third exhausting his soul and turning him into an ordinary zombie (side story-411)
- Side story: there are five "worst" Wild Magics rivaling 〈Soulbreaker Breath〉, plus one exception; the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord has an even more vicious version of the spell than 〈Soulbreaker Breath〉
- With her talent Draudillon can imitate the Platinum Dragon Lord's "ultimate strike" great explosion, but because she is too weak as a Dragon Lord, the cost is at least a million people's souls (9-239)
- In the Web novel Tsaindorcus knows of no Wild Magic user but himself; in the light novel he says those who can use it are few enough to count (7-278); there is also said to be a Wild Magic that resurrects without loss (no level drain) (9-031)
Notes
"World Absolute Barrier" in Vol. 14 is a misprint of 〈World-Isolating Barrier〉.
