Personality
A typical royal who treats commoners as dirt and wields his power without hesitation for the sake of his honor. Good at putting on a dignified front, but grows suspicious and increasingly emotional as Zanac rises. Feels no brotherly affection for his younger brother and would even consider getting rid of him if necessary.

History
- Competes with Zanac for the succession; during the Demonic Disturbance in the capital he has no private troops and can only hole up in the palace, damaging his reputation (Vol. 6)
- Asks to take the field in the Battle of Katze Plains and is sent by his father to lead a 5,000-strong detached force to Carne Village (Vol. 9)
- At Carne Village he is high-handed and merciless, declaring the whole village traitors, and meets the villagers' resistance; his force collapses after Enri blows the horn and summons a goblin army (Vol. 9)
- While fleeing he is tortured to death by Lupusregina, who suddenly appears; his body is never found and the kingdom treats him as missing (Vol. 9)

"Barbro" is almost exclusively a female name in Sweden; the male-to-female ratio is said to be about 1 to 3,000.
