Peter Mauk
Leader of the Silver-rank adventurer team "Swords of Darkness" · Re-Estize Kingdom · Human · Unknown
Personality
A serious, upright young man who always tries to steer the team back on track when conversation drifts; a leader with plenty to worry about. At first jealous of Momon, he came to admire him sincerely after witnessing his overwhelming strength.
Abilities
- The team's frontline warrior, responsible for reading situations and serving as the shield protecting the rear line
- Can use the martial art [Fortress]
- Equipped with a weakly enchanted magic longsword, a large shield, and banded armor
- With his companions' support he can fight six wild goblins to a draw
History
- With his companions he named the team after the "Swords of Darkness", the four magic swords of the Thirteen Heroes' "Black Knight", which they aim to obtain, and is based in E-Rantel (Vol. 2)
- Invites the newly registered Momon and Nabe to hunt monsters; when Nfirea then requests Momon by name, they take on his escort and herb-gathering request together, heading to Carne Village and the Great Forest of Tob (Vol. 2)
- Back in E-Rantel, at the Bareare apothecary he runs into Clementine and Khajiit, fights to let Nfirea and Ninya escape, and is killed (Vol. 2)
- Whether his corpse was also turned into a zombie and dispatched by the arriving Momon is unverified (Vol. 2; the JP wiki explicitly names Lukrut and Dyne)
Trivia
In the Web novel the team is called "Whirlwind Axe", the name instead coming from the storm-raising axe of the Thirteen Heroes' Warrior Captain of the Air Giants.
