Remedios Custodio

Captain of the Paladin Order, "White" of the Nine Colours, commander of the Holy Kingdom Liberation Army · Roble Holy Kingdom · Human · Unknown (the author says that on level alone she is above Gazef)
Personality
She dislikes using her head, is stubborn and impulsive, often forgets things, and gets a headache whenever politics or magic come up. What you see is what you get; she is fanatically loyal to Calca's ideals and firmly believes that whatever she does is justice. After losing Calca and her sister she changed drastically, becoming irritable and quick to anger, often taking it out on Neia.
Abilities
- The Holy Kingdom's strongest paladin, whose strength has reached the Realm of Heroes, called the strongest captain in the order's history; the author says she is the third-ranked paladin after a certain member of the Black Scripture and the goblins under Enri, and on level alone above Gazef
- Holds Safarlisia, one of the Four Great Holy Swords (she does not usually carry it), with which she stabbed Jaldabaoth, inflicting a wound that "stung" (Vol. 13)
- Wears the silver full plate armour handed down through the order's captains, light and easy to move in and capable of brief flight; uses the skills Holy Strike and Evil Slayer, and can heal by laying her hand over a wound
- Has mastered martial arts such as [Flow Acceleration], [Heavy Strike], [Fortress], and one that sends a slash flying (probably [Air Slash])
History
- When Jaldabaoth attacks Kalinsha she leads 25 elite paladins in a charge against him but is repelled, and Holy Queen Calca and her younger sister Kelart go missing (Vol. 12)
- She organises the Holy Kingdom Liberation Army and leads a delegation to seek aid from the Kingdom without success, then goes to the Sorcerer Kingdom and returns with the Sorcerer King, who comes in person, intending to have him and Jaldabaoth destroy each other (Vol. 12)
- In the war of liberation she insists on "letting no one die", giving in to demi-humans' threats with hostages, and clashes sharply with the ideals of Ainz and Neia; Jaldabaoth used Calca as a bludgeon at Kalinsha (Vol. 12), and later burst into Loyts carrying her rotting corpse and knocked Remedios flying when she charged him (Vol. 13)
- After the battle of Loyts she declares that "the Sorcerer King and Jaldabaoth are in league"; learning of Calca's and Kelart's deaths, she falls into madness (Vols. 12-13)
- After the northern and southern armies join up she defeats the Scale Demon; after the war she recuperates at home and, per Demiurge's plan, is to be dealt with; page 23 of Vol. 14 mentions that she has died (Vols. 13-14)
Trivia
She and Calca reportedly became close friends because their birthdays are close together (the 24th and 26th of the Middle Fire Month).
