Dwarf

A human species living inside mountain ranges; averaging about 130 cm tall with full darkvision, boisterous and fond of drink yet mathematically minded.
- The Dwarf Kingdom lies within the Azerlisia Mountains; its old capital Feo Berkana was occupied by frost dragons, recaptured by the Sorcerer Kingdom in Vol. 11, which then established relations with the Dwarf Kingdom.
- They generally move slowly; their lifespan is presumed longer than humans' (not stated).
- In YGGDRASIL dwarves get bonuses to crafting classes and were popular with players who produced gear.
- Men have thick beards, often braided; women, as a matter of course, shave the hair under their noses.
- Dark dwarves trade magic weapons with the demi-human king Buser and are presumed to live in the Abelion Hills (name only, Vol. 12 notes); hill dwarves once founded a nation in the hills before being destroyed by goblins and other demi-humans (Web setting); they excel as rangers.
- The Dwarf Kingdom uses heat ore (a special ore that gives off intense heat when struck with mithril or better) instead of coal; air-purifying magic items must be made by druids, but dwarven druids are very rare (11-007)
- The "riding lizards" used as mounts are large lizards over three meters long, tamed by the dwarves (11-193); when undead are mentioned, dwarves first think of "frozen bones" and "frozen zombies" (11-195)
