Vol. 2, night of day 11 of Year 1 after the transfer: Khajiit and Clementine of Zurrernorn's Twelve Disciples used the kidnapped Nfirea to summon masses of undead in E-Rantel's cemetery, and were put down by the adventurers Momon and Nabe.

Khajiit wanted to turn himself undead to revive his mother, and set his sights on the "Spiral of Death", a city-destroying ritual that sacrifices many lives to generate vast negative energy; he spent five years preparing in E-Rantel
Clementine, a defector from the Black Scripture, joined with the "Crown of Wisdom" she had stolen from the Windflower Scripture; Nfirea, who can use any magic item, was kidnapped and made to wear the crown, losing himself and being used to summon undead en masse (casting the 7th-tier [Undead Army])
Momon took the job after making Lizzie promise to "give everything", headed to the cemetery, and broke through thousands of undead
Narberal unleashed her true power and destroyed Khajiit and the two Skeletal Dragons he summoned; Momon, revealing Ainz's true form, hugged Clementine to death
Ainz destroyed the Crown of Wisdom to rescue Nfirea; the intelligent item "Orb of Death" turned up and was tucked into Hamsuke's cheek pouch
The next morning Momon was questioned by the guild and promoted to mithril rank; the bodies of Clementine and Khajiit later vanished from the guards' morgue

Notes

Skeletal Dragons have "absolute resistance" to magic, but it only applies to spells of 6th tier and below.
