Pluton Ainzach
Guildmaster of the E-Rantel Adventurers' Guild · Re-Estize Kingdom · Human · Lv Unknown
Personality
A sturdily built, seasoned former adventurer. Outwardly almost excessively friendly to Momon, but behind the scenes he cautiously gathers information with Rakheshir, and Ainz rates him "a capable man who can lie with a straight face." Genuinely worried about the future of the city's adventurers, he is later moved by the Sorcerer King's ideal of adventuring.
Abilities
- A former adventurer warrior with the authority as guildmaster to keep others in line
- Knows adventurers' lives and mindset well, becoming an adviser on reforming the Sorcerous Kingdom's Adventurers' Guild
- Owns a blue crystal metal short sword granted by the Sorcerer King
History
- Gathers E-Rantel's mithril-class teams, the mayor and the Magician's Guild master to discuss countermeasures against the mysterious vampire "Honyopenyoko," and repeatedly restrains Igvarge when he picks fights with Momon (Vol. 3)
- Tries every means to keep Momon in E-Rantel, even thinking of having a prostitute bear his child (Vol. 3, Vol. 4 drama CD)
- Remains at the guild after E-Rantel's cession and meets with Ainz, who visits in person; moved by the ideal of "true adventurers who explore the unknown," he agrees to help nationalize the guild (Vol. 10)
- Receives a blue crystal metal short sword from the Sorcerer King (10-367); in Vol. 10 he accompanies Ainz into the Empire to recruit adventurers and proposes challenging the Martial King in the Imperial arena to show off the Sorcerous Kingdom's might; details include negotiating with the arena's promoter and being asked for information on the dwarf kingdom (unverified)
- At the suggestion of Rakheshir, who had been eavesdropping next door, the two resolve to set out adventuring again someday (Vol. 10)
Trivia
In the anime he sports a white afro, but the original novel never describes his hairstyle at all.
