Slime
A gelatinous heteromorphic species highly resistant to physical attacks such as piercing and slashing and able to corrode and destroy gear, but weak in strength and unable to wear armor.
- They sense their surroundings through motion detection or vibration rather than human-like sight; their range is limited and they are vulnerable to ranged attacks.
- Elder Black Ooze: its acid is among the strongest of slimes, with the ability to degrade gear; Herohero's race.
- Solution Epsilon is a predatory slime with races such as Shoggoth and Ubbo-Sathla.
- In Nazarick, slimes under the general maids handle cleaning on the 9th and 10th floors; the sapphire slime "Sankichi" works as a body scrubber in the bathhouse.
- Sanitation slimes in the New World process sewage in the drains; they have acid but carry no pathogens.
- Slimes have no skeletons and are the only race that cannot become zombies or skeletons.
- Racial levels on record: Solution has Shoggoth 10, Ubbo-Sathla 10, etc., 45 racial levels in total (end of Vol. 5); Area Guardian Guren is a colossal Abyssal Slime (bonus novel The King's Messenger)
- The New World's "filth eaters" handle garbage; their bodies are masses of pathogens, yet they are intelligent and regard humans as beings who make food for them (13-213)
