Worker

Adventurers who have left the Adventurer's Guild and take jobs the guild won't, including criminal ones; they earn more but take bigger risks, and are called "Workers" (請負人) with a mix of derision and wariness.
- With no guild, clients must find them through connections; investigation and team-building must all be handled personally, and Workers may even kill one another
- Most are former adventurers expelled over problems, though some are dissatisfied with the rules, want to make big money, or just want to kill monsters
- Lacking the guild's protection and information, a considerable number die within a year
- Main teams: the Empire's "Foresight," "Heavy Masher," Parpatra's "Dragon Hunters" and "Tenbu"; the Dragon Kingdom's "Blazing Crimson Lotus"
- In Vol. 7 many Imperial Workers were hired to invade Nazarick and were nearly wiped out
- The swordsmen "Hero" and "Dark Knight" named by Gringham in Vol. 7 are classified under the Karnassus City-State Alliance in Japanese sources (in the same Web novel scene they are called 勇者さま and ダークロード); the Worker team "Fist" (leader "Howling Wolf" Antwali) appears in the bonus novel The Ghost Ship of the Katze Plains, with its base presumed to be the Free City of Vadis (a name from the mobile game, unverified)
- Standouts within a team sometimes switch teams as adventurers do, usually two or three times (Vol. 7)
- Parpatra was once an adventurer called orichalcum-rank, but fell to being a Worker after punching a vile guild master (Vol. 7)
