Go Gin

ゴ・ギン

Eighth Martial King of the Imperial Arena, later a subordinate of the Sorcerous Kingdom · Baharuth Empire · War Troll · Lv Unknown (Ainz judged his warrior ability to be on par with his own when in warrior form)

Personality

Sees himself as a warrior and respects the strong. Far smarter and more rational than ordinary trolls, during his training on the frontier he never killed an opponent who threw down their weapon. He believes his strength comes from racial gifts rather than true skill, and longs to meet opponents who can help him grow (unverified). He has no interest whatsoever in taking a human wife, considering it a perverted taste.

Abilities

• Has strength, endurance and reach far beyond a human's, tough skin, and wounds that heal quickly thanks to a troll's regeneration
• Has mastered martial arts such as [Skin Reinforcement], [Greater Skin Reinforcement], [Mighty Blow], [Divine Flash] and [Flowing Acceleration]
• Equipped with a huge magic-metal club, magic-resistant full plate, and a magic ring and amulet
• His weaknesses are fire and acid, which inhibit regeneration; Baziwood believes all four knights together would stand no chance

History

• About ten years ago, while training on the Empire's frontier, he was discovered by Osk and brought to the arena in the Imperial capital (background)
• Given the chance to challenge the seventh Martial King, "Corrosive Wolf" Kullervo Palantynen, he took the throne and is regarded as the strongest eighth Martial King in history (background)
• Faces Ainz, who enters as a warrior and uses no magic; they agree that if he loses he will become Ainz's subordinate, and he tells Ainz he wants to eat Ainz's body to become stronger (Vol. 10, p. 403)
• Ainz suppresses his regeneration with a rapier imbued with acid magic, and he is ultimately defeated and killed (Vol. 10)
• After his death he is immediately resurrected by Ainz, who uses this to show the audience the support the Sorcerous Kingdom can provide adventurers; true to his word, he becomes Ainz's subordinate (Vol. 10)

Trivia

39th in the popularity poll; in the anime he is voiced by the same actor as Gringham (Yasuhiro Mamiya).
