Leinas Rockbruise

The only woman among the Four Imperial Knights, "Heavy Blast" · Baharuth Empire · Human · Lv Unknown
Personality
Outwardly formal, cold and blunt, but at heart she puts her own interests first. Her terms of employment with the emperor are precisely that she "prioritizes herself," and she openly says she will switch to whoever can lift her curse—the least loyal of the Four Knights. Very conscious of her looks, she clicked her tongue in envy at the Pleiades' beauty.
Abilities
- The highest attack power among the Four Knights (some say slightly below Gazef, unverified)
- Agile enough to leap from a galloping horse onto a carriage running alongside while wearing full plate
- Uses a type of infantry spear; since a Cursed Knight's traits damage low-grade items, her weapon must be of considerable grade
- The right half of her face bears a curse from a monster's dying moments and constantly oozes pus ("even Fluder can't lift it" comes from the mobile game's story, game)
History
- Originally a noble's daughter who took pride in personally slaying monsters in her family's lands, she was cursed while slaying a certain monster, expelled by her family and jilted by her fiancé (background)
- After becoming one of the Four Knights she took revenge on the family and fiancé who abandoned her with Jircniv's support; the condition she agreed with the emperor was that she would "prioritize herself" (background)
- Accompanying the emperor to Nazarick, she was so frightened by a Death Knight that she bluntly asked if she could flee first, and was merely assigned to guard the carriages (Vol. 9)
- After the massacre Jircniv hinted that she could defect to the Sorcerous Kingdom empty-handed, but she stayed, saying she "must first repay the debt"; the emperor judged that she meant to raise her value first and defect at the right moment, and kept her out of confidential talks (Vol. 10; being kept from confidential matters is unverified)
- In the short story "Prologue to Everyone's Current Situation" (色んな人の現状。のプロローグ, 2021), published by the author on the posting site Hameln, Nimble and Baziwood note that the Four Knights are two short; Nimble says in the past tense that he felt only collegial affection for "her," implying she has left the order (she is not named; not part of the main story)
Trivia
Her hobbies are daydreaming about what she'll do once the curse is lifted and keeping a "revenge diary"; she doesn't like to answer when asked her birthday.
