Pestonya Shortcake Wanko
Head Maid (Area Guardian), in charge of the 41 Homunculus Maids · Nazarick: Area Guardians & Other NPCs · Heteromorphic (species unknown, dog-headed) · Unknown
Personality
She is set to end her sentences with "woof", but now and then forgets and adds it a moment later. She is one of what the author calls the two "pillars of kindness" in the light novel's Nazarick; compassionate, she wags her tail when happy.
Abilities
- Can use high-tier healing magic
- Can use resurrection magic (requires valuables such as gold coins or gems as payment)
- Can transfer her own mana to others
- Her fur grants cold resistance
History
- Created by Ankoro Mocchi Mochi; because their creators were close, she, Aura, Mare, Yuri, and Éclair privately call one another by nicknames
- From Vol. 2: Managed operations on the 9th and 10th Floors while Sebas was away
- Vols. 6–7: After the Demonic Disturbance in the Royal Capital, she and Nigredo pleaded for the abducted Kingdom children, defied Ainz's policy, and were confined (Vol. 7 p. 36, Vol. 10 p. 37)
- Mentioned in Vol. 10: At Aura's request, she healed the severed ears of the three elf slaves formerly owned by Erya
- Movie bonus A Day of the Pleiades: Was released from confinement to run the orphanage (the confinement presumably lasted from the start of Vol. 7 to around Vol. 10)
- Vol. 14: After the operation to wipe out the whole Kingdom began, she and Nigredo again urged Ainz directly to change course, and she asked Sebas to bring Ainz to Nigredo's room
Trivia
Her creator originally wanted to name her "Pescatore" (a pasta dish), but since it means "fisherman" in Italian, they felt that was too pitiful and changed it.
