Offensive Martial Arts
Offensive martial arts that increase damage, add elements, or fling slashes; many are originals devised by their users.
- [Slash] (Climb, Hamsuke), [Greater Slash] (the Extra Seat); [Blade Slash] is a powerful slash channeling energy into the blade—the Web novel's "Slash" was split into [Slash] and [Blade Slash] in the light novels
- [Heavy Strike] (Gagaran, Go Gin, Remedios), [Mighty Arm Heavy Strike] (Hekkeran, the Extra Seat), [Mighty Arm Great Strike] (Buser), [Mighty Claw] (Vijar)
- [Air Slash] (Erya), [Twin Air Slash] (the Extra Seat): fling slashes, though flying-slash martial arts are weaker than striking directly
- [Dragon Fang Thrust]: developed by Parpatra from [Piercing Strike], a two-hit thrust adding elemental damage, with derivatives [Blue Dragon Fang Thrust] (lightning) and [White Dragon Fang Thrust] (ice) (Vol. 7)
- [Shukuchi] can only glide forward, while Erya's [Improved Shukuchi] moves in any direction (Vol. 7); [Instant Reflex] forcibly returns a body unbalanced after an attack to its pre-attack stance (Gazef, the Extra Seat)
- [Battle Aura Seal] (Gazef) gives a weapon the effect of a magic weapon; Buser has [Shield Charge] and a "Weapon Break" martial art that damages weapons directly (Vol. 12)
- Gazef's [Fourfold Light Slash] and [Sixfold Light Slash], and Brain's [Flash], [God Flash], and [Field], are all original martial arts; Gazef also has "the strongest martial art of an individual" (developed by Vestia, who could not master it due to old age)
Notes
In the Web novel martial arts are called "battle skills" and written in katakana, such as the [Eyes in the Back] and [Whirlwind] Zaryusu learned for fighting groups; the light novels did not adopt them.
