Blue Roses Infighting
Vol. 14 (Years 3–5 after the transfer): as the Sorcerer Kingdom's army reached the capital, Lakyus, who insisted on fighting to the death, was ambushed with poison by her comrades during her last meeting with Renner and then charmed; the Blue Roses then teleported out of the Kingdom.
- During the Sorcerer Kingdom's advance, the Blue Roses, along with Azuth Aindra, turned down the Black Scripture's recruitment
- Leader Lakyus insisted on standing or falling with the Kingdom, while the other four members intended to flee abroad together
- On the day the Sorcerer Kingdom's army attacked the capital, the Blue Roses asked to meet Renner, who was cooking at the orphanage—their last meeting
- The other four members ambushed Lakyus with poison; Tia injected five kinds of poison with a not-very-large needle
- Evileye subdued Lakyus with weakening magic and [Charm Person]
- The Blue Roses then teleported out of the capital and fled to the ruins of a fallen nation's capital southeast of the country ("the ruins purified by fire")
Notes
In his Vol. 14 notes the author said he intended to have the Blue Roses die until midway through the volume; per the Japanese wiki, he changed his mind after considering the characters' actions, and they escaped death (the Japanese wiki also notes that Evileye in particular had death flags because of the bonus novel The Vampire Princess of the Lost Country—this is the wiki's view, not the author's words).
