Player Killing
YGGDRASIL allowed free PvP in the field and in dungeons; heteromorph players were often PK'd, so Touch Me formed the PKK-focused clan "Nine's Own Goal", the forerunner of Ainz Ooal Gown.
- PvP is not limited to arenas—fights can happen in the field and in dungeons; "GM calls don't accept PK complaints" (unverified)
- Early on, the heteromorph Momonga was repeatedly PK'd and fed up when Touch Me rescued him
- Nine's Own Goal: a vigilante-style clan that PKK'd (killed the player killers of) those who PK'd heteromorph players; it began with 9, the "First Nine", grew to 27, then disbanded and reorganized as the guild Ainz Ooal Gown
- Ainz Ooal Gown became a powerful guild famous for PK; its signature was Punitto Moe's secret manual "Easy PK for Anyone", held only by Punitto Moe and Momonga
- Some powerful classes require PKing a set number of heteromorph players to unlock; after being PK'd, one might also have one's respawn point camped and be killed repeatedly (spawn killing)
- Nazarick's PK and PKK angered mid-tier guilds and eventually brought on the 1,500-strong raid
Notes
Members of the same guild or party cannot harm each other (friendly fire disabled); this protection vanished after the transfer.
