Captain of the Black Scripture

漆黒聖典 第一席次（隊長）

Captain and First Seat of the Black Scripture · Slane Theocracy · Human (God-kin) · Unknown

Personality

Highly responsible and dutiful, he takes his role as Captain of the Black Scripture seriously, though he sometimes wishes he could slack off for a rest. He was conceited for a time in his youth, but after being thrashed by the Extra Seat he became grounded and upright, and he still treats her with equanimity.

Abilities

• A God-kin in whom the "player" bloodline has awakened, the second strongest in the Black Scripture after the Extra Seat
• His prowess is such that Shalltear rated him stronger than Solution of the Pleiades, and he once threw himself in front of Shalltear's attack
• Carries a shabby-looking spear at odds with his lavish equipment
• Handles unit affairs such as preparing the resurrection of fallen members and replacing them; he must also take part in training and experiments, leaving him almost no free time

History

• In Vol. 2 Clementine compared Momon's physical abilities to those of God-kin like him
• In Vol. 3 he led the Black Scripture to escort Kaire and encountered Shalltear; he ordered Kaire to mentally dominate her with the World Item "Downfall of Castle and Country", and personally blocked a blow from Shalltear
• In the fighting two members, Cedran and Beaumarchais, were killed and Kaire was gravely wounded; the mental domination was incomplete, and he ordered a retreat (Vol. 3)
• In Vol. 4 he talked with the Extra Seat about their losses and the vampire, and after answering "you are stronger than that vampire" he privately worried about her loyalty (the scene of his report to the six cardinals is depicted in the anime, unverified)

Trivia

Another source says he is good at the Rubik's cube (unverified), whereas the Extra Seat is bad at matching even two faces; in the Web novel he had an arrogant "I alone am the Black Scripture!" personality, but in the published novels he became very earnest after being taught a lesson by the Extra Seat (author's Web afterword).
