Elf Country
An elf nation in the Great Forest of Evasha (the Great Sea of Trees) south of the Theocracy, whose king is Decem Hougan, son of one of the Eight Greed Kings; the king's atrocities led to a long war with the Theocracy, and the king died in Vol. 16.
- Capital: a royal capital near a crescent lake (the only large city in the country; the rest are treetop villages of under 200 people); the nation has no official name
- Ruler: Elf King Decem Hougan (absolute monarch); heterochromia is regarded as proof of royal blood
- To create an army of powerful offspring, the king fathered children with many elf women, and even sent them to the front to draw out their potential, but not one reached even half his strength
- Inhabitants are mainly druids and skirmishers and excel at guerrilla warfare; its two great treasures are the "Guardian of the Earth," the Behemoth, and the king himself
- Over 300 years ago dark elves moved in from the north, but they are a minority with little contact with the elves
- Key events: the front collapsed once the Theocracy committed the Fire Scripture; in Vols. 15–16 Ainz visits, the king is killed by the Extra Seat, and the royal castle is besieged by the Theocracy's army
- The Web novel setting states the Elf Country "has never taken military action against neighboring nations," though it has occasional friction with the Theocracy (Web "Settings," "Nations-2")
- The king sends elf women to the front to draw out their potential, dreaming of one day sweeping the world with an army of his own children (11-176)
