Imperial Magic Academy
The Empire's highest institution of learning, founded by the emperor two reigns back with Fluder's help, selecting talent regardless of birth; most students actually cannot use magic. The light novels give only its name; most details come from the Web novel.
- Purpose: to keep gifted children from being buried by poverty and to train officials and technicians for the Empire; it bears the name "magic" because Fluder was deeply involved in its founding and because magic holds an important place in human society (Web novel)
- Top students enroll for free, while paying students take a simpler exam; magical knowledge is required in every discipline
- Textbooks are expensive, so the academy lends them by course and opens its library; there is a graduate school and scholarships (scholars must work in the Imperial administration after graduating)
- The student cafeteria's basic lunch is free and checked for poison by magic; all magic faculty can use 2nd–3rd tier
- Arche studied here and gained the "Academy Wizard" class; in the Web novel Fluder himself also enrolled as a student
