Dwarf Kingdom / Azerlisia Mountains

A dwarf nation built inside the Azerlisia Mountains, which separate the Kingdom and the Empire; once prosperous through minerals and rune technology, it has declined since an attack by the Evil Deities 200 years ago.
- Capital: the eastern city of Feo Jera (the former royal capital is Feo Berkana); there were originally four cities, but the southern Feo Raizo and western Feo Teiwaz have been abandoned
- Government: of the royal family only the Rune King survived the Evil Deities' attack, and he left with the national treasures and never returned; the country is now ruled by a regency council of eight, including the commander-in-chief, the head of the Earth Temple and the head brewer; population nearly 100,000
- Rune technology: since 200 years ago it has declined, replaced by foreign enchantment techniques two to three times more efficient; trade with the Empire continues
- The mountains face the sea to the north and border the Great Forest of Tob to the south; frost dragons and frost giants sit atop the ecosystem; the Quagoa, demi-humans who grow by eating ore, contest the mineral veins with the dwarves
- The former royal capital was long occupied by the family of Frost Dragon King Olasird'arc, who used the Quagoa as servants
- Key events (Vol. 11): Ainz subjugates the frost dragons, forces the Quagoa to submit, retakes the former royal capital and returns it to the dwarves, in exchange for diplomatic relations and the relocation of rune craftsmen to the Sorcerer Kingdom
- The Great Rift fortress is equipped with magic items with the same effect as 〈Lightning〉 and lightning-element crossbows, exploiting terrain where the suspension bridge and fortress line up to skewer attackers (Vol. 11)
- A fairly large fortress stands on the surface at the entrance to the current capital Feo Jera; the gate of the final line of defense is made of mythril and orichalcum
Notes
The dwarf city names all contain the names of runes (Feoh, Jera, Raido, Tiwaz, Berkana).
