Eryuentiu
A floating city built by the Eight Greed Kings in the middle of the desert far south of the Kingdom, the only surviving capital of their empire, still guarded by 30 City Guardians.
- A castle floats above the city, and endless water flows from it; the whole city is covered by a magic barrier, so it doesn't feel like being in a desert
- The 30 City Guardians are equipped with magic arms of an entirely different class
- The city holds super-class magic items left by the Eight Greed Kings, and only the Thirteen Heroes were allowed to take a few out; Brain's katana is said to have come out of the desert
- In the local ancient language the city's name means "the great tree at the center of the world," and many readers think it derives from "YGGDRASIL"
- Ainz lists it as the city requiring the most caution and decided not to provoke it until he knows its strength
- Fluder is jealous that the Thirteen Heroes could enter while he cannot
- The city holds the Eight Greed Kings' "Nameless Book of Spells," into which every spell, including new ones, is automatically written; it is said to rival an entire world (5-112)
- Sources: location and barrier at 4-013; the city's name and its 30 guardians at 7-147–148
Notes
Readers often speculate it is the YGGDRASIL guild base "Asgard's sky castle," but the original does not make this clear.
