Demonic Disturbance
Vol. 6 (September 4–5, Year 1 after the transfer): the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth led demons against the Kingdom's capital; the Kingdom and adventurers united to fight back, and Momon "repelled" Jaldabaoth—the public face of Nazarick's "Gehenna" operation.
- The public story: Jaldabaoth led a demon army against the capital to seize the "Demon Statue" held by the Eight Fingers and was driven off by adamantite-rank adventurer Momon and others; for the behind-the-scenes planning, the phases, and Nazarick's division of roles, see the "Operation Gehenna" entry
- On the night of September 4, the Blue Roses fought Entoma, disguised as a maid, while raiding an Eight Fingers base; at 22:27 Jaldabaoth killed Gagaran and Tia (both later revived) and Evileye was defeated; at 22:33 Momon (Ainz) and Nabe arrived and intervened
- A giant wall of flame, "the Flames of Gehenna", encircled the capital's warehouse district and other areas (descriptions such as "the northeast" and "the commercial district at the economic heart" are unverified)
- At 0:47 on September 5 Renner summoned every adventurer in the capital and announced the plan to fight the demons; at 2:30 the adventurers charged through the wall of flame. Ramposa III came to the front with Gazef guarding him, while Zanac and Marquis Raeven's men, former adventurers, patrolled the capital
- Climb, Brain, and Lockmeier carried out the "ultra-dangerous mission" of rescuing hostages, finding about 300 at 3:57; Guard Captain Bona Ingre died in battle at 3:38; Evileye struggled against the maids "Alpha" and "Delta" (Yuri and Shizu), and Nabe also fought a maid
- At 3:46 Momon faced Jaldabaoth; at 3:56 Mare caused an earthquake, and at 4:03 Jaldabaoth withdrew
- The Kingdom's losses: most of the over 10,000 residents within the walls of flame were abducted, and warehouse goods were seized
- Afterward, the hard-fighting adventurers and the royalists rose in esteem while the idle Barbro and the noble faction fell; Momon received a letter of gratitude jointly signed by the King, Second Prince Zanac, and Renner, exemption from tolls in royal domains, and a dagger implying a peerage, and left the capital on September 10
Notes
Demiurge first appeared as "Jaldabaoth" in this battle; in Vols. 12–13 he again invades the Roble Holy Kingdom as the "Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth".
